Pooches, I’m ready for fall. My manservant headed out early this morning for his walk/run at his walk/run park. He returned in a ball of sweat and immediately headed to the shower to prepare for a mid-morning meeting in a not-so-distant village to our north.
By the time he left the den the temperature outside was already above acceptable excursion levels and Starlight and I resigned ourselves to another excursionless day. When my manservant returned at excursion time he was accompanied by corndogs (his never-ending attempt to satisfy us pooches when he is not going to take us on an excursion)! We all agreed it was too hot outside to enjoy them on our picnic bench and we gathered in our entertainment room to gobble them down (with a wee bit of mustard on the side).
The afternoon heat was unbearable outside and Starlight and I put all our energy into afternoon naps. By the late afternoon we heard thunder in the distance and soon the temperature outside had dropped to pleasant levels. Unfortunately the rain started coming down, preventing us from enjoying the cooler outside temperatures.
This evening has been an evening of comforting my womanservant from the rumbling thunder and trying to get my boyservant to throw the toy. I’m not sure either effort has been successful.
