Worn out Monday.

Pooches, it’s a scorcher outside today!  My manservant arose early this morning and headed to his walk/run park for his walk/run before it started getting too hot.  He reported that the humidity was unbearable but was successful in performing his exercise activity.

After he returned to our den he immediately headed outdoors to begin ‘a full agenda of lawn care activities’.  Starlight and I would occasionally get a glimpse of him when would come inside to gulp a glass of cold water.

Pooches, one hour went by.  Then two.  Then three.  Then four.  I headed outside to inquire about an excursion since it was past excursion time but decided it would not be a wise question because he was a pool of perspiration staggering behind the lawn manicuring machine.

Finally, pooches, five hours later he crawled inside and headed for the shower!  Starlight and I waited to see if an excursion was going  to occur and he said it was too hot outside and that he was headed to the market for lunch and supplies for tonight’s meal.  When he returned Starlight and I cheered as he had acquired fried chicken for lunch to make up for the excursionless day.  We marched out to our picnic bench and enjoyed the feast, leaving  the coleslaw for my manservant while us pooches claimed the chicken.

Because it is so hot outside Starlight and I are remaining in the cool indoors for extra long naps through the afternoon.

Sunshine

Woo hoo! It's time for fried chicken!!

Starlight and I politely eat some more chicken.

One Response to Worn out Monday.

  1. An excursionless day is sometimes best! Glad you stayed out the sun and got chicken as a reward.
