Ham and Swiss on Rye.

Terrific Tuesday to you, pooches!  Our day has been quite similar to yesterday but an excursion was made today.  After my manservant’s walk/run at his walk/run park, he returned to our den and proclaimed another day of housekeeping activity.  Starlight and I immediately confronted him and explained that another ‘housekeeping excursion’ in the backyard was quite unacceptable.  He shrugged his shoulders and, after doing a bit of pruning and clipping outside, he set about more washing, sweeping and cleaning.

A late morning errand to the market for tonight’s dinner yielded a ham and Swiss sandwich on rye.  Rats!  We had hoped we might repeat yesterday’s hamburger and fries for today’s lunch.

The lunch was packed and we loaded into the Hybridmobile to begin our excursion a wee bit later than usual because of all the housekeeping activity.  A brief stop was made at my overlook park but the parking places with shade were all taken and the Hybridmobile journeyed on to my Indian mound park.   A shady spot was selected and Starlight and I had few tasty bites of ham and cheese  between our pooch treats.  A customary stroll followed lunch.  Because we were well into the afternoon and the heat was pouring it on we limited ourselves to the shady areas.

We back at our den now and my manservant is working in the kitchen preparing asparagus and red pepper chow-chow for tonight’s meal.  I hear thunder in the distance so I’d better head to the kitchen to console my manservant.

I wish you would clean the clutter out of the boot of the Hybridmobile!

Starlight, let's go sit in the shade under my Bo D'arc tree.
