Pooches, you know the routine. It was out to the walk/run park early this morning for my manservant. Upon his return he started his housekeeping duties and, when they had been completed, it was off to the vegetable stand to acquire much-needed supplies for our larder.
In celebration of the arrival of Vidalia onions, lunchtime saw the preparation of an onion sandwich using homemade mayonnaise! Woo hoo!! Starlight and I cared not for it (they make our breaths smell bad) and we chose to dine on a bit of chicken instead. After lunch, we inquired of my manservant where he thought we ought to go on our excursion today. We then got the bad news. There would be NO EXCURSION! It seems my manservant had made plans to travel to a nursery (plant, not baby) after lunch and there was no time for an excursion. Humph!
Starlight and I chose to nap and pout while my manservant amused himself with his flower pursuit for the next couple of hours. When he finally returned to our den from the nursery (with plenty of new plants in hand) he started preparation of the lady peas, purple hulled peas, butter beans, and cornbread for tonight’s meal. Woo hoo!
The evening meal was enjoyed by all and, afterwards, my womanservant and Starlight headed out in the Hybridmobile II so Starlight could teach her wee pooch class for the obedience classes so they can learn the finer points of controlling your manservant and womanservant. That’s when my manservant suggested to me that we make our excursion today an evening excursion around the poochhood! Hooray!
It was a fine walk about the poochhood with plenty of smells and a lot of friends with which to exchange pleasantries. We’re back at our den now and I’m thinking about donning my pajamas early and curling up with a good book while we wait for my womanservant and Starlight to return from teaching class.
