Pooches, for the first time in over a week my manservant resumed his walks/runs this morning and headed to his walk/run park at an early hour. His return was marked by a change of clothes before heading to a faraway village to attend to pack business. Pooches, he didn’t return until past excursion time!
Starlight and I looked expectantly at him when he entered our den. After discarding the rarely worn coat and tie, a call was made to the grill by my Trace and we all hopped in the Hybridmobile which glided to my Trace by way of said grill. Pooches, the Hybridmobile regaled Starlight and me with stories of this morning’s visit to the faraway village, sharing descriptions of giant rivers, carriageways going straight up mountainsides, and vast battlefields! Starlight and I shared in the opinion that the Hybridmobile was “stretching the truth” a wee bit but whispered it to each other so as not to hurt the Hybridmobile’s feelings.
Lunch was soon obtained from the grill and the Hybridmobile purred to my Indian mound park, selected because it had a parking spot that was shady at this time of day. Luckily the spot was not occupied when we arrived and we were soon enjoying a huge sausage with chili, onions, slaw and jalapenos with a side of onion rings! Woo hoo! We ate and ate and ate on what seemed to be a never-ending hot dog until we could finally eat no more.
To help overcome the large lunch, after our picnic we hopped out of the Hybridmobile’s boot and enjoyed a long stroll through the adjoining forest.
We’re back at our den now napping off our lunch.
