Pooches, it was quite chilly when we arose this morning. My manservant tried a walk/run at his walk/run park but quickly decided the gym was a better location. He headed that direction and only returned to our den after he had completed his walk/run and a long stationary velocipede ride.
Starlight and I were concerned about the fate of our excursion today. My manservant has not been inclined to do much of anything lately and, combined with the return of dreary and chilly weather, we were afraid an excursion was doomed. Excursion time approached and we decided to dine in our den because of the weather. Pooches, the first BLT of the season was put together and, because it was winter-like outside, a steaming bowl of baked potato soup was also served. It was all quite good, pooches, despite the fact that the tasty tomatoes of summer are still only found in our dreams.
The conclusion of lunch brought the suggestion that a short excursion could be undertaken. Starlight and I cheered as we headed to the Hybridmobile after retrieving a jacket from storage. We were soon gliding down the lane headed for my Madison Landing park. Pooches, the weather at my park resembled a March day as a strong cold breeze blew off the water. We scampered about the waterfront and even tried sticking our paws in the water. Brrrr!
We’re comfortably back in our den now where we will spend the afternoon napping.
