Pooches, this morning was a carbon copy (remember those?) of yesterday! My manservant left quite early for his walk/run and stationary velocipede ride at his gym. And just like yesterday, when he returned to our den he immediately set about doing gardening duties outside. Starlight and I accompanied him and enjoyed the magnificent, but chilly, weather!
As excursion time approached I told my manservant this “do everything just like we did yesterday” game had been fun, but I was ready for a real excursion and not one confined to our backyard like yesterday.
Excursion time was soon announced and we hopped in the Hybridmobile with a destination of our favorite market to acquire tonight’s dinner as well as our excursion lunch. After we completed our business at the market, the Hybridmobile was soon headed to my Old Trace park for a picnic using a table followed by a long stroll. The Hybridmobile selected a parking place, I selected a picnic table, and Starlight carried the Reuben Panini and brambleberry tea. My manservant had forgotten to bring along a tablecloth and said we couldn’t sit on the picnic table because people didn’t want to eat from a table where pooch butts had been. I was incensed! I stomped back to the Hybridmobile and grabbed a section of my manservant’s NYT and proceeded to cover the tabletop before Starlight and I rested our butts on the newspaper! I’m still not speaking to him.
We enjoyed our Panini and found the brambleberry tea to be quite tasty. A long stroll was enjoyed after lunch along the sunken path of the Old Trace. It was good to be back there and see all of the greenery that has popped out (last time we were there, pooches, the ground was white with snow and sleet.
We’re getting ready to rest up for what promises to be a busy late afternoon outside enjoying this magnificent weather, pooches.
