Pooches, the weather prognosticators are saying that we will be getting heavy rain for several days. In an effort to accomplish his walk/run without having to rely on his gym, my manservant arose early this morning and quickly headed to his walk/run park. He was successful in his effort to avoid rain and, after a brief stop at our den, headed to the not-so-nearby village for a visit to his teeth vet while Starlight headed to a grooming appointment. A part that was needed by the vet had not arrived and my manservant waited for an hour before the delivery lorry rolled up with my manservant’s part.
He finally returned to our den and, because the rain had still not arrived, began manicuring our backyard. That activity was interrupted when he was notified that Starlight was ready to be retrieved from her groomers. When Starlight returned I admired her new ‘do’ while my manservant returned to his gardening duties.
As lunchtime approached my manservant headed to the kitchen and busily prepared our excursion lunch. Starlight and I were thrilled to learn that the lunch consisted of a steaming bowl of Rumpledethumps accompanied by generous serving of filet of boeuf! Woo hoo!!
The Hybridmobile was quickly loaded and it scurried down the lane trying to beat the fast approaching rain. I wasn’t paying attention when the Hybridmobile glided to a stop and Starlight quickly hopped out and claimed a new park in the name of Starlight. Rats! Sunshine dubbed the strange little park Sunshine’s thistle park because it was filled with thistles.
Sitting in the boot of the Hybridmobile we enjoyed our Rumpledethumps and boeuf. A hasty stroll was undertaken as the first drops of rain began to fall. It wasn’t long before the Hybridmobile urged us to reload in order to take us back to our den before the rain became heavier.
The rain continues to fall, pooches, and we’re cocooning in our den for the remainder of the day.
