I bind unto myself this day…

Happy St. Patrick’s day, pooches!  Today our pack has joined in the celebration of our friends to the west (at least west from my homeland) in the festivities.  Unlike years past, we decided to celebrate the REAL St. Patrick.

My manservant headed out into our yard for a morning of gardening to make our grounds a wee bit more enticing for the small creatures in our poochhood.  There was much tilling and weeding and mulching and planting going on through the morning.  Starlight and I joined my manservant, all the while singing St. Patrick’s Breastplate!  It was a rousing chorus that echoed through the poochhood as we worked.

Festivities aside, lunchtime drew near and we hurried out to the Hybridmobile to travel to the market for supplies for tonight’s dinner.  Lunch was also obtained and we returned to our newly manicured backyard to dine on ribs, coleslaw, and a roll (which nobody wanted).

Our entire day was spent outside enjoying the newly-found spring!  The clouds began moving in late this afternoon but we are headed outside to sit under our pergola for a bit of fruit to enjoy the outdoors before the shrimp-parmesan pasta (whole wheat, of course) is served.

Go green, pooches!

Let's eat!
Let’s eat!
Starlight, our backyard quagmire is starting to look much more like a backyard.

I guess we'll go inside for a wee bit to catch up on our naps.

Uh oh! The clouds are moving in.
