Happy Friday, pooches! Starlight and I are winding down our week while my manservant begins to ramp up his. He told us early this morning that he had much work to do in preparation for his academic responsibilities this weekend and it would be necessary to undertake an early excursion because once he retired to the library he would be there until it was time to depart with my womanservant to the symphony. Starlight and I were quite agreeable but it took considerable convincing of the Hybridmobile because of the patches of ice on the roads.
After preparing a bagel with lox, onion, and capers, we hopped into the Hybridmobile. Wanting to start off our weekend in a special way, I instructed the Hybridmobile to head to my park on the Upper Rez, a park that we rarely visit. The Hybridmobile was filled with a strong smell of lox and onions! I’m sure all of the pooches we passed on the way gave us a second look as they caught the scent that was emitted from our carriage!
After arriving a my park we searched for a picnic table to enjoy our breakfast but they were all covered in ice and snow. It was decided to save breakfast until we returned to our den and an enthusiastic stroll was begun. Scents were scare because of the ice and snow but Starlight and I enjoyed the brisk air and the abundant SUNSHINE. It wasn’t long before our paws were numb with cold and our stomachs growling with hunger so a hasty return to our den was carried out.
My manservant is now in the library pouring over lesson plans and reading material so I guess Starlight and I will plan for a long afternoon nap.
See you tomorrow on Silent Saturday, pooches!
