Lazy litter day.

Pooches, my manservant “slept in” this morning,  His lethargy was contagious so Starlight and I decided to join him.  It was nearly mid-morning before we crawled out of bed!  Woo hoo!  We decided it was going to be a lazy day (thus, the lateness of my post).

The lethargy continued through the morning as we lounged about our den.  Our conversation eventually drifted to today’s excursion.  It was obvious that none of us had a particular interest in much moving about and we finally agreed that it had been some time since we had taken a litter excursion through the poochhood and that might be a good alternative.  My manservant was given the responsibility of carrying our three grocery bags to serve as receptacles for the litter and off we went after telling the Hybridmobile it had the day off.  The Hybridmobile was quite pleased with the unexpected holiday!

Pooches, the nasty weather of late gave us a reprieve today and, despite the continued intermittent rain, the temperature had risen to spring-like levels.  Starlight and I had a grand time spotting litter and instructing my manservant to pick it up.  There were plenty of puddles of water for us to splash through and our litter patrol resulted in plenty of litter being confined to our grocery bags.

Our afternoon was spent napping until my manservant finally gave us permission to go out to the quagmire called our backyard.  Starlight and I gingerly stepped our way around the yard and finally found thick grass with no mud and alighted there to enjoy the warm temperatures and SUNSHINE.

Pooches, see you tomorrow on Wordless Wednesday when foul winter weather is expected to return.

There's a bit of litter in this shrub.

Pick up what litter? I don't see any litter.

That's not litter, Starlight, it's rubbish. It is for the rubbish lorry that comes by today.
