Pooches, Starlight and I had quite the adventure this weekend! My manservant and womanservant took us on a road trip to Memphis! Woo hoo! They had tickets for the theatre while Starlight and I had plans for a grand time playing with Fred and Buttons. On the return to our den yesterday, we were accompanied by rain, rain, and more rain! It continued raining after we arrived at our den and I was quite busy the remainder of the day comforting the pack with my thunder blanket as the storms drenched our area.
My manservant headed to his walk/run park this morning but just as he began his activity a kindly computer repair gentleman called to tell him he was on his way to our den to undertake a bit of repair activity. The walk/run was immediately cancelled and my manservant returned just in time to hear us welcome the kindly gentleman with a round of barking!
When the repairs were completed my manservant headed out do conduct some banking business. Upon his return he suggested an early excursion because more rain was in store for us during the day. Starlight and I cheered and headed to the Hybridmobile.
Because it has a wide asphalt path the Hybridmobile thought would keep Starlight and me out of the mud, the Hybridmobile soggily splashed to my school park. When it arrived we hopped out and scurried down the path toward my Rez. Pooches, this spell of weather (ongoing since November, I might add) has left water everywhere. Except for occasional lapses, Starlight and I stayed on the path and tried our best to find some interesting scents but the rain had washed away all traces of nocturnal visitors. My Rez was as smooth as glass which did provide good conditions for spotting fish in the water.
Because my manservant said he had many tasks to perform for his upcoming weekend of academic obligations, we soon returned to the Hybridmobile and headed back to our den.
I’m sure it will be an afternoon of napping because my manservant said our backyard is a quagmire and we would be prohibited from venturing there until we’ve had a few days of SUNSHINE to dry it out.
By the way, it is raining again.
