Puppysitters-R-Us

Pooches, the wee pup Maggie arrived early this morning for an all day visit with Starlight and me!  We had been looking forward to it all weekend and had rather detailed plans laid out.  Unfortunately, the inclement weather made us revise our plans extensively.

After Maggie’s arrival, my manservant headed out to his walk/run park despite the cold, wet weather and undertook a walk/run while Starlight and I puppysat wee little Maggie (Starlight calls her Cuz).  He was quite pleased with himself on his return to the den.  The morning was spent in play as Maggie was fascinated by our cache of pooch toys.

A trip to the market in late morning yielded a special lunch being prepared for our guest:  Rumpledethumps!  Woo hoo!!

We pooches played outside while the Rumpledethumps was being prepared.  Of course Starlight and I guarded Maggie carefully to prevent any mischief or accidents.  We fairly flew inside when my manservant announced that lunch was ready.  We all sat in our den and ate heartily of the warm and cheesy dish!  My manservant did say that there would be no excursion today because of the inclement weather, the muddy conditions, and the fact that Maggie was a bit too young to venture out to our parks.

Because freezing rain and sleet were in the forecast for the afternoon we frolicked inside with our toys.  Maggie is being retrieved by her manservant shortly so I must close this post and run off to play with her a bit more.
