Mardi Gras weekend is upon us!

Pooches, let the celebration begin!!  We’ve begun our weekend of revelry and will continue through Tuesday!  Woo hoo!!

It was a cold morning again and my manservant said we should have a hearty breakfast to fortify us for the day.  My manservant headed to the kitchen to cook a grand breakfast (my manservant called it a ‘down home’ breakfast) of ham, eggs, and grits with red-eye gravy.  It was quite the feast, pooches.

Feeling a bit lethargic after such a big breakfast, a fire was built in the fireplace and we lounged around for most of the morning enjoying the fire.  My manservant was reading while Starlight and I were designing our float for Fat Tuesday.  As excursion time approached, my manservant said there were plenty of errands to be run and we should complete them before our excursion.  The Hybridmobile was eager to begin and we hopped in and headed to several business concerns to stock up on a variety of needed items.  Our final stop was at the market where we obtained a smoked turkey, brie and apple wrap along with a bottle of lime and mint tea for our lunch.

The Hybridmobile swiftly glided up my Trace and selected my pine grove park as our destination.   Wanting a bit of variation, it came to rest by the shoreline on the opposite end from where we usually have our picnic.  The boot of the Hybridmobile proved to be a comfortable location for our lunch and we dined heartily.

The weather was quite chilly but did not deter us from our usual after lunch stroll.  The scents of all of the nocturnal visitors were still fresh and Starlight and I had a lucrative sniffing session.  We finally yearned to begin our afternoon naps.  The Hybridmobile was reloaded and it gently carried us back to our den.  Starlight has already begun her nap and I am headed that way myself!

See your tomorrow on Silent Saturday, pooches.  Laissez les Bons Temps Rouler!!!

My manservant wouldn't let me drink his mint tea so I get a little bit of water from my Rez to help wash down lunch.

Starlight, I've got a scent of a skunk over here!

My nose is getting sore from all of the sniffing we've done today.
Sunshine, I believe your skunk came this way.
