Pooches, the winter weather continues to be a sore spot for our pack. This morning we woke up to more of the same, except it was colder. Starlight and I headed outside early to inspect the conditions and didn’t tarry very long: cold, foggy, and drippy. I let my manservant know the conditions when I returned to the den so he could make plans to head to the gym instead of his walk/run park. With seemingly a rather short temper he grumbled that a walk/run was not in his plans because he had an early morning appointment with two of his teeth vets!
As he was heading to the Hybridmobile to be chauffeured to his appointment he remarked that it was in his plan to attend a lecture at his alma mater following his visit with the teeth vets. Pooches, sad to say, that was not to happen. It seems appointment stretched well beyond the time of the lecture and he returned home quite unhappy.
The dark, cold, drippy day continued through the morning and afternoon. As excursion time approached, a pack meeting was called and, after Starlight and I scurried outside to inspect the current weather conditions, we voted unanimously to change our excursion location from one of my parks to our kitchen. What a time we had hopping about the kitchen withdrawing pots and pans from their cabinets, tossing about various utensils, and slicing and dicing and mincing and stirring. Starlight and I took turns being head chef as we barked orders to our ‘Sous chefs’. The kitchen was soon filled with sumptuous aromas. Sadly, after we were distracted for a short time playing in another room with our toys and my manservant, sumptuous aromas changed quickly to a burning smell!
Oh well, pooches, the intent had always been to have fun in the preparation and cooking, not in the final product. And fun we did have!
See you tomorrow on Wordless Wednesday!
