Pooches, the rain visited us last night and wore out its welcome about mid-morning! My manservant had headed to the gym for his walk/run/cycling activity but he reported that the rain was only a steady mist so he stopped at his walk/run park to conduct his exercise. I later told him that he only did it at his walk/run park because that would be an excuse not to do his cycling activity on a stationary velocipede. He neither confirmed nor denied my explanation.
After a bit of reading, my manservant indicated he was heading to his yoga classes for the resumption of yoga after an absence of three months. He said he was also headed to a lecture at his alma mater following yoga and would return in mid-afternoon. I asked when our excursion was going to take place and he said it was too yucky outside. Pooches, Starlight and I weren’t going to take no for an answer. We pressed him on the matter and he finally promised we could go in mid-afternoon.
Because it was still drippy and damp outside, Starlight and I decided to extend our morning naps until he returned. It was sooner than we expected when the Hybridmobile glided into the garage and my manservant walked in with grocery bags in hand. It seems my manservant decided to forego the lecture in lieu of doing all the reading he needed to do for his newly started academic pursuit (my suspicion is that he was so sore from the resumption of yoga he wanted to stop moving).
As we had hoped, the grocery bags contained items for this evening’s dining experience AND lunch from the organic deli! I immediately activated my nose and cheered. Pooches, it was smoked chicken wings (with roasted vegetables)! Woo hoo!! As you might imagine, Starlight and I made short work of the chicken wings while my manservant munched on his roasted vegetables.
We were soon hopping in the Hybridmobile which took us to my manservant’s walk/run park. My manservant chose that spot so we could have a paved path for strolling and avoid the muddy ground. There smells were in top form even after the rain and we had a grand time sniffing, running about, and sniffing some more!
It is now time for afternoon naps while my manservant starts kitchen duties for tonight’s meal.
