Pooches, the clouds moved in overnight and the thermometer finally hit 0ºC about mid-morning. My manservant suggested that we go ahead and take an excursion because of the threat of rain or sleet. Starlight and I, still in our morning nap mode, were reluctant but we finally decided not to risk missing an excursion any day this week during this stretch of miserable weather (on Monday we thought excursions would be few and far between this week).
The Hybridmobile was boarded and it bravely headed down the carriageway in search of an excursion destination. My manservant decided to head to my spillway park but when we arrived he changed his mind and we headed to my Saturday park instead. Pooches, when we got to my Saturday park my manservant stepped outside and immediate hopped back in the Hybridmobile saying it was too cold and windy.
The Hybridmobile was starting to get testy with my manservant for not being able to make up his mind as it faithfully purred to our third destination. We arrived at my manservant’s walk/run park in short order and discovered that someone (manservant) had left my leash on the dining room table! I groaned. Starlight groaned. The Hybridmobile groaned. My manservant said there was nothing to worry about and he fished out an audio cable from the glove compartment, tied it around my collar, and off we went!
It was a short stroll, pooches, because it was so cold and I was anxious to not be spotted tied to an audio cable. Starlight found a channel of my creek that was covered in ice but my manservant thought it inadvisable to skate on it because the thickness of the ice was unknown.
It wasn’t long before the cold won out and we’re safely (and warmly) in our den for another afternoon of reading before my manservant academic pursuit begins the first class this evening.
See you tomorrow and Silent (and hopefully Warmer) Saturday.
