Pooches, our pack is taking it easy today. Starlight and I are resting up from our big weekend in Elvistown with Fred and Buttons. My manservant is recovering from his weekend of carrying out academic responsibilities.
Nevertheless, my manservant did head out for his walk/run early this morning. He reported that he did half of it at the gym and, when he got too hot in his sweat suit, he headed a short distance away to his walk/run park to finish up in the chilly air.
It was an quite uneventful morning as we napped off and on. As lunchtime approached, my manservant headed to the kitchen. In a short amount of time we were dining in fine style on Swiss boeuf braised with onions and peppers. Woo hoo! Quite tasty.
Our post-lunchtime excursion was held at my downtown park. Starlight said she wanted to inspect the Christmas decorations we had seen yesterday from the Hybridmobile as it purred down an adjacent carriageway. As the Hybridmobile glided toward our destination, Starlight tried to get us all to join in singing Christmas carols but no one joined in. My manservant said it was much too early for that sort of activity and I agreed. Starlight pouted the remainder of the way to the park.
Pooches, my park was filled decorations! Starlight and I had quite the time inspecting all of them. We saw a wee little village and knocked at the doors of several homes but I guess everyone was at work because no one answered. Starlight became quite in the spirit and started singing Christmas carols on her own, sticking her tongue out at my manservant between each verse. Fortunately he did not see her doing it.
We’re back at our den now and preparing for a lazy afternoon. I’m headed for my nap. Starlight is putting up Christmas decorations in her crate.
