Pooches, we had another dull day around here. My manservant “slept in” as did Starlight and I. Instead of heading off to his walk/run park as is his custom, my manservant headed to the stack of firewood in the Hybridmobile’s room and gathered firewood for a nice fire in the fireplace. It was quite nice, pooches, to lounge on the Davenport in front of the fire and enjoy a morning of laziness. My manservant said he was not going to attend his lecture this morning because it was about of topic in which he had no interest.
Pooches, lounging about all morning led to not much interest in going on an excursion, partly because it was cold and dreary outside and partly because it was just too comfortable being lazy in front of the fire. Our pack agreed to stay in our den instead of venturing out. There was a bit of excitement after our decision to remain in our den when my manservant went to the market and returned with fresh oysters which were quickly fried in cornmeal and accompanied by horseradish coleslaw! Woo hoo!
In the late afternoon my manservant encouraged Starlight and me to venture outdoors which we did for a wee bit before the lure of the continued roaring fire in the fireplace lured us back inside.
Lazy days are good sometimes, at least for pooches and manservants.
