Happy Monday, pooches! We had the usual day around our pack. My manservant headed out a wee bit later than normal for his walk/run. When he returned to our den he said we were going to have another pansy planting exercise. I went outside to supervise.
The shovel and hoe fairly flew as the bed was prepared. A trip was made to the nursery in the Hybridmobile to obtain cedar mulch which filled the Hybridmobile with the smell of cedar. The Hybridmobile called it cologne. Work continued until my manservant said that if an excursion was to occur today we needed to depart immediately as a lecture he wanted to attend at his alma mater started at 13:00. Pooches, we grabbed our remaining boeuf from Saturday night’s filet of boeuf shish kabobs while my manservant grabbed the leftover Waldorf chicken salad from the icebox. It was then off in the Hybridmobile to the walk/run park.
We had a grand time eating in the boot of the Hybridmobile, although Starlight and I were a bit cramped as a large box of groceries which are headed to the food pantry (and have not been delivered due to the procrastination of my manservant) occupy much of our space. Nevertheless, the boeuf shish kabobs were quite tasty.
Our after lunch stroll was designed to check out the progress of persimmons on our secret persimmon tree. Pooches, they are abundant this year and will be ripening this weekend after the predicted frosty weather that is coming beginning tomorrow evening! Woo hoo! Our plans are to have plenty of persimmon jelly for morning biscuits as we move into the winter.
After much strolling and sniffing it was time for my manservant to head to his lecture and we headed back to our den for a bit of napping before enjoying the last bit of fall weather before winter hits in full force tomorrow.
