Pooches, my manservant woke up this morning with a bee in his bonnet! He told us that much of the morning would be spent in the library in preparation for his weekend academic responsibilities. He also said that he planned to attend a lecture at his alma mater which would coincide with our regular excursion time. He suggested that we undertake a breakfast excursion. I cheered. Starlight yawned.
After the customary required amount coffee had been consumed, he headed to the market for sausage. He returned quickly and manned the kitchen preparing sausage and biscuits (with a wee bit of sausage gravy for dipping) to take with us on our excursion.
Pooches, the Hybridmobile carefully purred through the rush hour traffic to my overlook. What a fine meal we had. Our tablecloth was spread over the ground under a pine tree. There was a bit of chill in the air as the north wind picked up with the passage of a cold front. The clouds were hanging low and danced through the treetops.
The sausage and biscuits were quite the hit. I enjoyed the biscuits with sausage and gravy while Starlight, I think, preferred the biscuits with the raspberry jam. Our customary after meal stroll was cancelled as raindrops started falling. We sought the safety of the Hybridmobile and returned to our den for a complete set of morning naps while my manservant whittles away at his academic responsibilities.
