Starlight on steroids!

Pooches, after returning from his pre-sunrise walk/run this morning, my manservant came in our den and picked up Starlight.  As he walked toward the back door I hopped out of bed and scurried right behind him thinking we were going on a breakfast excursion.  It was not to be, pooches.  My manservant told me I had to stay at our den because it was time for Starlight’s annual checkup at the vet.  I quickly returned to my bed while Starlight fought vigorously, albeit unsuccessfully, against my manservant as she tried to escape.  It was two hours later when they returned.  Starlight was not happy!  She went on and on and on about how horrible of an experience it was.  In addition to her shots, her vet prescribed antibiotics and steroids for a wee bit of a gland infection she has.  Pooches, can you imagine Starlight on steroids!?!

Lunch had been procured at a market in the ‘big city’ while the Hybridmobile was returning from the vet’s office.  In an effort to console Starlight, we all hopped in the Hybridmobile which sympathetically carried us on our excursion.  We were soon below my spillway at my Rez.  A picnic table was selected and, after a tablecloth and lunch had been arranged, we had a delicious meal of brisket of boeuf, Carolina coleslaw, and, in a first for our pack, a sweet potato biscuit!  Woo hoo!  It was clear that, despite feeling poorly because of her treatment at the vet, Starlight’s appetite had not been affected and she gobbled down everything set before her!

A thorough stroll followed our lunch before we returned to our den for the afternoon.  My manservant has departed for a mission of mercy in a nearby village and Starlight has already gone to sleep in her favorite chair.  I think I shall join her.

Starlight, you're supposed to look dignified for the camera.

We're ready to trounce on our sweet potato biscuit.

Someone opened one of the gates wider on my spillway!
