Pooches, the cold front that moved through our land yesterday evening has left wonderfully cool weather for July. I was surprised this morning when my manservant failed to go on his walk/run because the temperature was 16ºC! It seems he had an early morning appointment at his eye vet to get his peepers checked. This appointment took most of the morning because it seems new spectacles are in order and are now on order.
His return to our den around excursion time and revealed that his eyes were dilated and said the glare was too much for a picnic lunch on our excursion. The decision was made to have lunch in our backyard and undertake an excursion after his pupils returned to normal. In a short amount of time, a BLT (humph, on white bread) had been prepared and was accompanied by Greek artichoke salad and leftover filet of boeuf. We marched out to our picnic bench and the weather was fantastic. My manservant squinted through lunch and we stayed outside after eating frolicking around the backyard enjoying the weather.
In mid-afternoon, excursion time was declared and the Hybridmobile (with windows down) headed to my manservant’s walk/run park. Starlight and I had a grand time running about the walking/running trail and enjoying the cool afternoon.
We’re now back at the den and are planning to head outside shortly for a rare “outside nap” (pooches, those usually only happen in the spring and fall).
A sincere thanks from our pack to whoever sent us the cold front!!
