We awoke to a threat of rain this morning and I decided to closely monitor the weather throughout the day to ensure an excursion was included in our daily activities. My manservant has been woefully neglectful of his morning walk/run and I decided to take action.
After attaching the leash to my collar, I thrust the other end in his hands and headed out of the door. Pooches, it was ‘tug, tug, tug’ for the first half of our walk/run before he got in the spirit of the activity. Our destination was our ‘walk around pond’ but, after reaching that destination with a still sluggish manservant, I revised my activity plan and headed deeper into the heart of the poochhood. By the time we returned to our den my manservant was quite winded so I let him rest for a bit before suggesting that he finish the housekeeping duties he started yesterday.
It started to rain at our regular excursion time and I recommended that we eat our lunch at our den and take an excursion in the afternoon. Seafood gumbo was withdrawn from the icebox, heated, and placed in bowls. What a treat, pooches! We all ate with gusto and all agreed that if we lived on the coast our daily excursions would be in our fishing boat!
By the time our lunch dishes had been washed, dried, and put away, the SUNSHINE returned! We all happily hopped in the Hybridmobile which took us gleefully to my overlook! Pooches, we were the only ones there. Woo hoo!! Because of a strong breeze off of the water and the skies which had become overcast again, we all had a grand time strolling about in wonderfully cool temperatures. After a fun but uneventful stroll about my overlook, we returned to the den for a bit of snoozing before this evening’s dinner preparations get underway.
