Pooches, our pack is still resting up from our busy week last week entertaining Fred and Buttons and from the holiday weekend. Our holiday weekend was marked by remarkably cool weather for these parts at this time of year. It was pleasant during the day and actually cool in the evening.
Because the heat is starting to return, our pack decided to go on our excursion a bit early today. As we hopped into the Hybridmobile, I noticed that lunch had not been packed. I queried my manservant about the absence of food and he said it was “too early” to eat lunch! Preposterous!! There is no such thing as “too early” for anything involving food!
The Hybridmobile carried us smoothly to my Saturday park and we had a grand time strolling about the shore with a pleasant breeze blowing off the water, but, after a while, the temperature starting rising and we decided on a lazy afternoon at our den. The only noteworthy occurrence during our excursion was when the Hybridmobile stopped at a bait shop for a cricket rescue! Pooches, my manservant disappeared in the establishment and returned with four dozen crickets which he said were to be released in our back yard. They seemed quite happy in their new home and no longer have to worry about being used as fish bait! Hooray!
