Extended excursion!

Pooches, it has been a big day in our pack!  My manservant, declaring it to be a day of rest, did anything but rest.  The first item on his agenda was to head to the shoe store to purchase new pair of walk/run shoes with the hope they might resolve some of his Achilles thing-a-ma-bob issues.  Starlight and I “oohed” and “ahhed” when he returned to our den wearing them.

The second item on the agenda was to purchase a new set of shoes for the Hybridmobile.  Woo hoo!  It seems the Hybridmobile had a flat shoe Saturday and my manservant took it to the Hybridmobile vet for a complete new set.  Of course, when the Hybridmobile returned to our den, Starlight and I rushed outside to admire the new ones.  Not wanting it to feel slighted, we “oohed” and “ahhed” at its shiney new shoes as well.

We soon hopped into the Hybridmobile for our excursion.  The Hybridmobile rolled proudly down the lane and took us to a fast food boeuf establishment before continuing to my sunken Trace park.  We dined merrily there (Starlight and I had to remain on the benches rather than our usual spot on top of the table because SOMEONE had forgotten to pack the tablecloth).  A hasty stroll was conducted afterwards and we departed before the next rain shower moved in.

Tonight, after our evening meal of tomato aspic and chilled butternut squash soup (Starlight and I stayed with our turkey dinner when asked for our menu selection), we took yet another excursion through the poochhood.  Water was everywhere after the terrific storms of last night and this afternoon.  We had a dandy time playing in the water and tried to get all of our exercise in because another round of storms will be moving in shortly.

All in all a good day for us pooches, the Hybridmobile, and my manservant’s Achilles!

This doesn't appear to be a very healthy lunch!

After getting a wee bit rambunctious, my manservant decides to shorten our leads.
