Pooches, my manservant headed out to his walk/run park at an early hour saying he much work to do today in the library and he needed to get started as soon as possible. After he left our den, Starlight and I agreed that there was a glimmer of hope for an excursion today if he was going to resume his walk/run activity.
Upon his return, my manservant headed to the library and buried himself in work the entire morning. He emerged only once when he turned of our air conditioner (pooches, it is hot outside) and opened all of the windows saying he needed fresh air for a change. Our den warmed quickly in the heat of the summer.
Excursion time approached and my manservant once again emerged from the library and suggested that we hop in the Hybridmobile and pick up something to eat on our way to a short excursion. Woo hoo! The Hybridmobile glided gleefully to the deli where my manservant emerged with a box lunch of barbecue baby back ribs, chicken, and potato salad. Double woo hoo!!
The Hybridmobile delivered us to my log cabin park and we quickly spread the tablecloth over a vacant table and excitedly dined on our lunch. Pooches, those baby back ribs hit the spot! After lunch, reminding us that it was to be a short excursion, he agreed to a stroll to inspect my wildflower patch. There were lots of blooming wildflowers buried below the tall growth of late-blooming plants. True to his word, our stroll was short-lived and before we knew it we were in the Hybridmobile returning to our den.
As we entered our den, we were reminded of my manservant’s foolish action in turning off the air conditioning. He commented that it was good for us and made the decision to keep it turned off. Gathering his writing supplies, my manservant said he was tired of the library and is now working busily on our couch in the living room.
Here’s hoping for another excursion tomorrow, pooches.
