Pooches, what a frightful storm we had at our den last night! There was plenty of lightning and thunder, as well as lots of rain. I’m quite sleepy today because I stayed awake to calm our pack during the storms and didn’t get much sleep.
The rain ended just in time for my manservant to go to his walk/run park for his morning constitutional. A late morning visit to the dentist in a not-so-nearby-village occupied him until it was time for our excursion. Because we were all a bit tired from the lack of sleep, we decided unanimously to eat our lunch at our den. Last night’s gumbo was reheated and we enjoyed the reprise meal.
After lunch, the Hybridmobile purred quietly to my Choctaw park (chosen in order for us to inspect the progress of a fine crop of blackberries). Keeping a wary eye on the darkening skies, we enjoyed a fine jaunt about the multi-use trail. The blackberries still have some time to go before they ripen but there were plenty of plump, red berries on the vines.
As raindrop began to fall we scurried back to the Hybridmobile for an afternoon of snoozing and being a bit lazy.
