A tardy and extremely short excursion.

Pooches, after an abbreviated walk/run this morning at his walk/run park, my manservant returned to our den, brought out the staining supplies from storage, and set about his work of staining the fence around our carport (remember one day back in October when this work was begun?).  Starlight and I resumed our naps and were surprised when he roused us for an excursion because it was in the middle of the afternoon.   It seems my manservant spent all morning and a large part of the afternoon performing his staining chores!

There wasn’t much time left for an excursion but Starlight and I hurried outside to the Hybridmobile, pausing only to “ooh” and “ah” over his staining work.  I commented that I’m sure that since it took da Vinci four years to paint the Mona Lisa, eight months didn’t seem unreasonable for a carport fence!  He was not amused.

The Hybridmobile took us to my overlook after stopping for a fast-food hamburger and fries (my manservant said he didn’t have time to prepare lunch).  We gathered around the poison and ate with contemptible gusto!  A short stroll ensued and we headed by to our den afterwards in short order.

See you tomorrow on Silent Saturday, pooches!

Sunshine

Starlight and I decide to separate in order to cover as much ground as possible in the short time we have at my overlook.
