Mid-week excursion.

Pooches, my manservant spent the better part of yesterday morning at the dentist’s office.  When he returned to our den it was obvious he was in no mood for an excursion.  Starlight and I decided he deserved a break and we spent the day napping while he worked on his gardening duties.

His mood had not improved significantly this morning and we all lounged around our den reading and watching cooking shows.  Things started looking up after my manservant returned from a trip to the market to restock our pantry.  He came inside with grocery sacks in hand and excitedly announced that our market now carries organic, unprocessed, nitrate/nitrite-free Kielbasa.  Woo hoo!  I immediately ran outside and fired up our grill.  In no time we were sitting around the grill anxiously awaiting our Kielbasa and potato lunch.

Our picnic was held in our backyard as there was a pleasantly cool breeze making dining outside quite nice.  The Kielbasa was excellent and everyone was pleased with the outcome.   More lounging around occurred after lunch.  About mid-afternoon, my manservant suggested that we try a short excursion.  The Hybridmobile was loaded and we warmly glided to my school park.  Pooches, it was far too hot to be out in the SUNSHINE so we stayed on the shady side of my park.  A pleasant stroll was had by all until the decision was finally made to return to our cool den and start our naps.

I'm ready for a bite of Kielbasa!

We'd better stick to the shade, Starlight. It is quite hot at my school park today.

We've never been to this part of my school park.

Starlight, it is time to head back to the cool of our den.
