Pooches, my manservant decided to forego his walk/run park and the gym this morning in favor of a walk/run around the poochhood. I thought it was the perfect opportunity to accompany him to make sure he was not slacking off on his exercise responsibilities! We headed out the front door and I lead him on a half-hour of brisk walking and running. He tried to slow down on occasion but I kept my leash fully extended and pulled him along at a fast pace. By the time I pulled him back to our den he was rather winded.
After running a few errands, my manservant headed to his Monday morning yoga class at the appointed time. When he returned, he suggested that we have lunch at our den which would leave us unencumbered for what appeared was going to be a summerlike early afternoon excursion. Pork chops and green peas were heated and we ate merrily in the coolness of our dining room.
Our excursion was combined with a visit to the market to purchase supplies for our evening meal (Mediterranean Succotash, pooches!) and the Hybridmobile smoothly delivered us first to the market and then to my overlook. What a pretty day it was there, although the quite warm temperature kept us strolling from shade tree to shade tree. It was a grand time of good smells and barking at the boats that ventured too near the shore to suit Starlight!
We’re back at our den for the afternoon, pooches, with plans to spend some time at play in our yard late this afternoon.
