Signs, signs, everywhere are signs.

Pooches, my womanservant left town early this morning for a flight to cowboy country and won’t be back until late Sunday.  That, of course, shifts the burden to my manservant of not only letting us outside/inside upon our command, seeing to our daily excursions, and preparing our dinner, but also the job of evening chair time and playing the Starlight Game©.

My manservant ran many errands early today and resumed his garden duties upon his return.  It was well past our normal excursion time before we departed in the Hybridmobile which took us for a short ride to my Rice Road trailhead parking area.  We enjoyed chicken wings in the picnic area and proceeded to the exercise area for a short warm-up before beginning our long stroll on my multi-use trail.  It is an area we don’t visit often and we enjoyed familiarizing ourselves about all of the good sniffing spots.  Because it had recently flooded there were plenty of smells to enjoy.

By the time we returned to our den it was almost “play out in the backyard” time but my manservant cautioned that he must begin preparing tonight’s dinner (spaghetti, pooches!) before accompanying us outside.  Starlight and I decided to linger inside with him to enjoy the delightful smell of onions, celery and garlic being sautéed.

Pooches, we have a road trip to undertake tomorrow.  I’ll have much to report tomorrow afternoon!

Sunshine

Where are these steps supposed to take you?

If you ask me, these steps are useless!

Go green!

Go green!

Starlight, let's take the velocipede out for a ride on my Trace Saturday!

Starlight, watch out for snakes down there.

Starlight, watch out for snakes down there.
