Pooches, after warm and stormy weather the past few days, we awoke this morning to bright blue skies with puffy, white clouds lazily drifting along and much cooler temperatures. My manservant immediately headed outside to begin his third day of gardening and yard work.
In the late morning, because my manservant’s academic pursuit no longer occupies his Wednesdays, he excitedly headed to resume Tai Chi classes, only to discover they ended last Wednesday as well. Chagrined, he stopped by our village’s nursery on the way back to our den and mollified his disappointment by the purchase of more plants.
When he arrived at the den I told him any planting activity would have to wait until an excursion had been undertaken. Still feeling the sting of disappointment of not having a Tai Chi class, my manservant placed a call to my Mardi Gras restaurant and ordered a plate of red beans and rice with sausage. WOO HOO!
We all hopped into the Hybridmobile and embarked for said restaurant and then it was on to my Saturday park. Planning on dining in fine style with a fine meal, we had packed tablecloth, fine china, and silverware in our picnic hamper. Pooches, it had cooled off so much today with the passing cold front that my manservant couldn’t bear the breeze coming off of the still-cold water of my Rez in his foolishly chosen short-sleeved shirt. Thoughts of fine dining disappeared and we moved the Hybridmobile away from the water and used it to block the breeze as we dined in its boot.
After chowing down on the exceptional meal we embarked on a jolly stroll around my park. Anxious to get back to our den to plant his new plants, my manservant insisted that we return well before Starlight and I were ready to depart. You guessed it, pooches, we’ll spend the afternoon napping!
