Pooches, my manservant has been woefully negligent in his excursion duties for the past week! He has 1,000 excuses why he has been unable to see to his responsibilities but none of them have convinced me of anything other than it is just pure negligence and he has been appropriately reprimanded.
The weather today is quite unsettled. The prognosticators are forecasting frightful storms this afternoon and tonight! The rain has been nearby all morning. My manservant was up early to perform yard duties. He was busy at weeding, chopping, planting, and mowing the weeds that we affectionately call our yard. Starlight and I stayed riveted to the weather radar nervously wondering if my manservant would finish his work in time to take us on an excursion before the rains moved in. We were quite happy when he came inside and showered well in advance of the rain. Hopping into the Hybridmobile, we merrily purred to the market to obtain items for tonight’s meal as well as lunch for our excursion.
The decision was made to enjoy our bumpkin-style picnic on the shores of my Rez. The Hybridmobile quickly and efficiently rolled us to a pleasant spot off of my Trace and pulled to the edge of the water. Hopping in the boot of the Hybridmobile, we were soon enjoying our roasted pork, apple, brie, and mango chutney sandwich (on an onion roll, pooches). Starlight and I unselfishly offered my manservant ALL of the pickle spear and broccoli coleslaw that accompanied the sandwich.
Our after lunch stroll was filled with many smells and Starlight and I had quite the time investigating all of them. It was only at the insistence of my manservant that we finally hopped back in the Hybridmobile for a ride back to our den for an afternoon of anxiously watching out for storms.
Keep safe, pooches!
