It was a dark and stormy night….

Pooches, what another frightful night we had in the wee hours of this morning.  Heavy rain and lots of thunder and lightning.  Once again I was keep busy trying to keep my pack calm in the midst of nature’s fury.

It was about sunrise, while the downpours were going on, when my manservant headed out to the gym for a walk/run and stationary velocipede ride.  He returned and reported that his walk/run park was flooded because my creek had overflowed.  The rain continued and we prepared ourselves for an indoors day.

Shortly before time for my manservant’s yoga class the rain took a brief break.  We took advantage of the lull to take a short hike around the poochhood.  It felt good to get out in the fresh air but the interlude was brief as the rain started again and we had to scurry back to our den.

Upon his return from the aforementioned yoga classes my manservant said the rain had stopped again and it was time for lunch.  We loaded into the Hybridmobile which purred soggily through the wet lanes before pulling into the burger drive through.  Woo hoo!  With the burger successfully obtained the Hybridmobile continued to my manservant’s walk/run park.  We were all delighted to see the water had receded but sadly noted that everything was covered with a fine layer of silt from the flood.  Our plans  were changed and we soon found a stone wall upon which we perched and enjoyed our burger (pooches, it was on white bread!).

We’re back at the den for the remainder of the day.  The rains are scheduled to return this afternoon into tonight.  Pooh.

Sunshine

I'm glad the rain is taking a break so we can stretch our legs!
