[Pooches, this is my post from yesterday’s excursion. It seems that I forgot to click “publish” when I finished. Oops!]
Pooches, what a spell of weather we had over the weekend! Yesterday we had nonstop rain from the early hours until the evening. It was heavy rain, pooches, and there was no chance for an excursion. Today has brought relief from the rain but it has been overcast and quite chilly. Thus, today has been a lazy day in our pack.
My manservant eschewed his morning activity at the gym and chose, instead, to lay around our den reading for his Wednesday academic pursuit. We did manage to rouse him to get him to his yoga class on time. When he returned from yoga (after a stop by the market to purchase items for tonight’s meal), he busied himself in the kitchen making tuna salad for sandwiches (on rye, pooches) for lunch. After the completion of the salad and assembly of a sandwich, we all loaded in the Hybridmobile which efficiently glided to my manservant’s walk/run park. In an unusual move, my manservant decided we could eat our lunch in the Hybridmobile. He chowed down on the tuna salad sandwich while Starlight and I enjoyed a baggy full of our gingerbread man pooch treats.
As we started our after lunch stroll, my manservant insisted that we stay on the asphalt because of all the water and mud from the heavy rain. We enjoyed a dandy stroll around the walk/run park, paying special attention to staying on the asphalt pathway.
