Pooches, my manservant went in the library early this morning and worked on lesson plans, created PowerPoint’s, printed handouts, and stayed quite busy. Once again, Starlight and I were in doubt about today’s excursion. Not to worry, pooches, he emerged in the late morning and said he needed a break. Starlight and I perked up and in a short time we were in the Hybridmobile gliding hungrily to the healthy food market for lunch and foodstuffs for tonight’s meal.
My manservant emerged after acquiring the necessary items and we headed to our excursion destination. Because my manservant was in a hurry to return to our den and continue work on his academic responsibilities, we selected my school park for our picnic. We arrived and decided to forgo the usual table and sit on the ground instead and enjoy the strong wind coming off the water.
What a lunch my manservant had assembled: smoked boeuf, blue cheese mashed potatoes, a Cesar salad, and a roasted red pepper ring. I had to point out to my manservant that the only healthy food was the pepper ring, lettuce (if he washed off the dressing), and the recycled cardboard container that held our lunch! Nevertheless, Starlight and I took part enthusiastically in the consumption of the smoked boeuf!
Because time was of the essence, our after lunch stroll was kept to a minimum. We enjoyed the many smells that were present on this fine spring day! My manservant is back in the library where he plans to spend the remainder of the day. We pooches shall nap.
