Pooches, Starlight and I awoke this morning wondering what today would bring in terms of excursions. I stared at my manservant to attempt to determine if it was going to be one of the “reading by the fire” days with no excursion. A fire was built and books brought out but my manservant insisted that, “although he had a gazillion pages to read before Wednesday’s academic pursuit, he intended to make an excursion a priority.
We did have a bit of concern when he neither went on a morning walk/run nor go to his gym. It has been two weeks since he put aside all exercise to rest his Achilles thing-a-ma-bob. In the late morning, however, he said although his thing-a-ma-bob was no better that he could discern, he was tired of nursing it and headed to his two yoga classes. Starlight and I grew excited, as this indicated an excursion was a sure bet, and we began planning meal suggestions for my manservant.
True to his word, upon return from his two yoga classes, we all hopped in the Hybridmobile which hummed toward my manservant’s favorite Greek restaurant in our village to obtain a supply of their homemade salad dressing (yum, yum, pooches). As he emerged from the establishment it was obvious he had obtained more than salad dressing! It seems a chalkboard listing today’s lunch specials had included a Gyro plate! Woo hoo!
They Hybridmobile headed to my old trace park and we immediately selected one of the two picnic tables located under the pine trees. Chowing down on the Gyro we decided it was υπέροχος (in honor of our Greek excursion)!
A stroll ensued following our meal and Starlight and I had a grand time playing in my park and sniffing the numerous smells.
We’re back at our den now where my manservant is trying to tackle (just an expression, pooches) all of his reading for Wednesday. Starlight and I have decided that we will spend the afternoon learning to speak Greek. With such good food it is only appropriate we learn the language!
