Pooches, what a warm and windy day it is! After missing excursions for the past two days because of my manservant’s leaf racking/bagging duties, Starlight and I were determined to go on an excursion today. My manservant, having completed said leaf raking/bagging during late yesterday afternoon and suffering the consequences of using muscles that he rarely uses for three days in a row, moaned and said that if we were going to have an excursion today it would have to be early. It seems he has yet another lunch meeting today and the weather for later in the day is quite uncertain as stormy weather is expected to arrive at a yet unknown hour.
I wasted no time in telling my manservant to get in the kitchen a prepare a meal for our excursion. I was determined not to have a half-hearted excursion. He retreated to the kitchen and within half an hour he emerged with a hearty meal of bangers and mash!! Woo hoo!
After packing our banquet in the Hybridmobile, we rolled merrily along until arriving at my old school park. Because of the strong winds we decided to seek shelter in the pavilion at the top my hill. The plate of bangers and mash was brought our and we devoured our meal quite readily. Pooches, those bangers hit the spot!
After our meal, we set about for a long sniffing stroll. Starlight and I commented to each other about how good it was to get back to routine excursion. The strong winds contributed to our friskiness and Starlight and I had a good time bounding about the waterfront.
We returned to our den just in time for my manservant to deliver Starlight to the groomer, where she is now. My manservant has headed to his lunch meeting and, having a good portion of the afternoon to myself, plan to do a bit of contemplating by our front window, which is open, and enjoy the warm breeze before the anticipated cold front moves through.
Twelve days to go, pooches! Laissez les Bons Temps Rouler!!!
