Coming out of the deep freeze.

Pooches, this morning was another frigid one after dipping to almost -10ºC overnight but rose quickly under the influence of abundant SUNSHINE and by excursion time was up to 6ºC.  Yes, I know, still a bit chilly but it feels downright tropical.

My manservant said it was too cool for a picnic on our excursion and we heated up the gumbo which had been cooked on Tuesday.  We all agreed it hit the spot and was a perfect prelude to our excursion.  Not wanting to spend too much time away from our den due to his reading assignments, teaching responsibilities, and having a delivery of more firewood during the afternoon, my manservant suggested that we go to his walk/run park for a short excursion before returning and attacking his duties.  The Hybridmobile delivered us in fine fashion to the park and we had a grand time playing on the grassy hill by my frozen creek.  Starlight wanted to go ice skating again but my manservant forbade it saying he didn’t trust the thickness of the ice.  Starlight relented and spent her time skipping rocks across the ice.

We’re at our den now and plan to nap until it is time to bark at the gentlemen who will be delivering the firewood.

Sunshine

Starlight contemplates another try at ice skating but is prohibited from doing so by my manservant.

Wait for me, Starlight!

Wait for me, Starlight!

Starlight, I think we're supposed to be going in the other direction.
